Speaking at Waterloo Entrepreneur Week
Stephen Woods (the director of Google Waterloo), Omar Ismail (co-founder of ProductWiki) and myself will be talking at the Entrepreneur week event on strategic financing in Waterloo on Thursday, October 9th.

If all goes as planned, Omar and I will fight on stage, embarassing ourselves in front of Stephen, whom I really respect. That’s the plan, at least.
No, the topic is something that is important and dear to my heart: when your startup needs financing to realize its vision, how do you plan for and find the right kind of investors? I will talk about the approach that Well.ca has taken in the past, what works, and how to apply our hard-earned lessons for yourselves.
If you’ve ever said “how come all the other cheesy startups get funded while I have to cut pop-tarts in half to save on meal costs” (I know I have) then this talk is for you.
